![]() ![]() If GTA V will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year, Rockstar Games confirmed last month that developers have already started working on the next Grand Theft Auto game. Other updates include faster loading times, 3D audio, as well as haptic feedback support on the PS5 DualSense controller. Rockstar Games has implemented new graphics modes with up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, texture and draw distance upgrades, HDR options, and ray-tracing. GTA V is one of the best-selling games of all time, and there’s no doubt that this new current-gen version will also sell very well. If you played GTA V on Xbox One or PS4 before, you’ll also be able to transfer your Story Mode and GTA Online progression at launch, though this one-time migration won’t work across PlayStation and Xbox consoles. If you’re on Xbox Series X|S, the GTA V Story Mode bundle that also includes GTA Online is currently priced at $19.99, but GTA Online can be purchased alone for just $9.99. The latter will also be free for the first three months for PlayStation 5 players with a PlayStation Plus subscription. The game’s full price will be $39.99 once the promotion ends, but PlayStation 5 players can currently get it for just $9.99.ĭue to a marketing deal between Sony and Rockstar Games, PlayStation 5 players can save $30 off the full Grand Theft Auto V package that includes the single-player Story mode and GTA Online. But, for now, it sounds like that is the main thing being worked on at Rockstar Games, so it’s possible the game could get a release window sooner rather than later. The current-gen version of Grand Theft Auto V is now available for pre-order on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S ahead of its March 15 release, and Rockstar Games is offering up to 75% discounts for a limited time. Unfortunately, we still don’t have a clear-cut idea as to when Grand Theft Auto VI will come out. Kotaku is saying that the Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 remasters are NOT “out of scope.” In fact, both remastered games could eventually come out after the release of GTA 6. Now, this doesn’t mean that the other two projects have been completely scrapped. ![]() ![]() Currently, the plan is to get GTA 6 finished and “out the door” as soon as possible. This information was later confirmed by Kotaku’s Zack Zwiezen.Īccording to Tez2’s sources, Rockstar is basically hoping that fans will forget about the recently botched GTA Original Trilogy remaster by the time Grand Theft Auto VI comes out. In a tweet sent out on July 4th, Tez said that a reliable source told him that remastered versions of Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption were no longer “on the table.” The sources said that Rockstar Games is halting the work on the Red Dead and GTA 4 remasters so that the company can dedicate more resources to the development and production of Grand Theft Auto VI. The poor reception of the Trilogy DE might be a reason behind that decision. As per a reliable source with clear accuracy on Rockstar plans, remasters of GTA IV & RDR1 were on the table a few years ago, but Rockstar chose not to proceed with the projects in mind.
