![]() Like Young, Hunter had a good January, averaging 17 points and shooting nearly 40% from three. Other than a slight increase in points and rebounds per game, his stats are identical to last season. The shot went in, but it was a terrible possession, especially at the end of a game.įorward De’Andre Hunter has also had a slightly underwhelming season. Murray drives to the elbow, while everyone just watches as Young slowly glides halfway across the court and shoots a 36-footer. 9 as an example: even though Young makes the shot, their offense is stagnant. Take this possession from their matchup against the Phoenix Suns on Feb. Last season, he averaged one catch-and-shoot three-pointer per game, and this year he is only up to 1.4. It was probably naive of me to think Young would become a threat off the ball, always in motion à la Steph Curry, but Young hasn’t improved this aspect of his game at all. Young and guard Dejounte Murray’s play together hasn’t been terrible, but it certainly hasn’t opened up the Hawks’ offense as I’d hoped. ![]() He is currently shooting 38% from three, an obvious improvement from the beginning of the season when he was closer to 30%. Last year, Young shot 35.2% on open threes, but this year he is shooting 28.5%. The National Basketball Association (NBA) defines an “open shot” as one where the defender is four to six feet away from the shooter. And it’s not like he’s been getting different looks. Young previously shot 38.2% on eight three-point attempts per game, and is currently shooting 32.4% on just under seven attempts. While we can most definitely attribute this to the losses of forward Danilo Gallinari and shooting guard Kevin Huerter via trade, those remaining on the team are also responsible.Ĭompared to last season, point guard Trae Young’s shooting has wavered. In the 2021-2022 season, the Hawks finished second in the league with a 37.4% three-point shooting percentage, but they are currently ranked 22nd shooting 34% beyond the arc. Three-point shooting was a strength for the Hawks last season, but this year, it has been a point of weakness. Last year, after the Hawks made a surprising run to the Eastern Conference Finals in the prior season, they entered last season’s All-Star break at 28-30, one game worse than this season. The same thing - the Hawks underperforming despite having a talented roster – plays out over and over to the point that I don’t even know what year it is or how time works. 28 2021 (Courtesy of Wikimedia Commons/All-Pro Reels)īeing a Hawks fan feels like watching a Christopher Nolan movie. Even if it were possible to buy a high quality Disney watch, chances are the price would be unacceptably high for most people visiting the resort, including, possibly, myself.Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young warming up against the Washington Wizards on Oct. If one actually wants a quality watch, with good after purchase service, a Disney watch is maybe not the best choice. Furthermore, as with any establishment that caters to tourists, they kind of don’t ever expect to see or hear from you again after you walk out of their shop, and consequently are not prepared to offer any aftermarket service. Rather, it is in the IP, branding, and purchasing experience ( mostly, the fact that you bought it at Disney.). That is a bit disappointing, but perhaps to be expected given that most of the “value” in their watches (and many other products) is not in the watch, itself. It’s sad that Disney’s shops cannot offer a higher level of service.Īpparently, Disney is not generally selling a truly luxury, high quality product consistent with their pricing levels. ![]() I don’t doubt that what you both suggest is true. Really, though, Target is right down the street, and should be able to do it for you at a much less expensive price than anywhere in the resort would. I'm actually wondering if you'd have better success getting a watch battery replaced at a shop in one of the hotels, since those shops would be a lot less busy than a shop in the parks, and would allow someone to do more detailed watch-work. There's a number of jewelers in Disneyland. The only places I know near my own home that work on watches are jewelry locations in stores, or the actual watch dude a few miles down the street who keeps his own hours and prefers to work on old railroad pocket watches, anyway. However, I don't know if those places WORK on watches, if you get the difference. There are a few locations throughout the resort that sell watches. However, since you are asking if any place in the park will do it, it got me wondering the same thing. You don't need to have it done at an official Disney location. ![]() Any place tht replaces watch batteries will be able to do this for you. You could always go to any other jewelry place, or even junk jewelry place such as the Target down the street from the park, if you live near there, to get the batteries replaced.
